Scene splats
A place you can
step back into.
A scene splat recreates the look of a place from many overlapping views.
Give the scene good evidence
Choose a mostly still scene and steady lighting. Avoid rapid exposure changes and fast movement. Capture overlapping views along a deliberate route rather than waving the phone from one spot.
Capture here. Check where it goes.
The current workflow sends a selected capture to a configured workstation. It may forward captures for further processing; the downstream route is unverified. Squatch offers no public managed-cloud training service. Check the destination before starting and keep the source capture until the result has been reviewed.
Find the weak spots
Look for floating fragments, blurry regions and holes when moving away from the original camera path. Poor source views may need to be excluded or recaptured. A visually convincing splat does not establish a watertight mesh or accurate dimensions.
Inspect the exported scene
Preview the scene before exporting. Reopen the exported file to confirm appearance, orientation and edits. Supported destination formats can differ; keep the source and processing result until delivery is checked.
