A guided room scan turns a walk around your space into a layout you can inspect.
Set the room up
Use a supported LiDAR iPhone. Turn on the lights, clear your walking route and open curtains when practical. Mirrors, glass and clutter can leave gaps or misleading surfaces.
Follow the room, not the floor
Choose the room-scanning mode in the app. Follow the on-screen guidance as walls, openings and furniture are detected. Move slowly around the perimeter, show corners from more than one angle, and keep the phone steady.
Read the whole result
Review the floor plan and 3D room. Check doors, windows, wall connections and recognized objects. Recognized objects describe categories, dimensions and placement; they are not detailed textured meshes of your furniture.
Measure twice. Export once.
Use a tape or laser measure to verify any dimension that matters. No independently measured reference capture has qualified this build for dimensional accuracy. Review the exported file before relying on it for a project.
